Connect Your Reddit Account
Set up your Reddit credentials to enable automated posting and engagement.
Creating Reddit App Credentials
You'll need to create a Reddit application to get your API credentials:
- Go to Reddit App Preferences
- Click "Create App" or "Create Another App"
- Choose "script" as the app type
- Fill in app name (e.g., "My ReddyBot App")
- Set redirect URI to:
http://localhost:8080 - Copy your Client ID (under app name) and Client Secret
Required Information:
- Reddit Username: Your Reddit account username
- Reddit Password: Your Reddit account password
- Client ID: From your Reddit app (14-character string)
- Client Secret: From your Reddit app (27-character string)

Create Your First Campaign

- Navigate to the Campaigns section
- Click "Create New Campaign"
- Enter your Reddit credentials

ReddyBot monitors your target subreddits for configured keywords and can post an active response template when the campaign rules allow it. It uses Reddit's API to check comments and posts, then records the resulting activity.
ReddyBot includes rate-limit handling, duplicate activity tracking, retries, and campaign controls to support responsible automation. You remain responsible for Reddit's rules and each community's requirements; no tool can guarantee account standing or approval.
Each ReddyBot campaign connects one Reddit account. You can create multiple campaigns and configure each campaign with its own account credentials, subreddits, keyword triggers, replies, and controls.

ReddyBot provides controls such as rate-limit handling and duplicate activity tracking, but users remain responsible for Reddit's platform rules and individual subreddit rules.
You can create multiple response templates and configure campaigns with keyword triggers, selected subreddits, and active replies. ReddyBot selects among configured replies according to the campaign settings; it does not generate new copy based on conversation context.
